TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR UMIAM SAILING CLUB MEMBERSHIP
In accordance with para 11 of MoA of Umiam Sailing Club (USC), regarding Membership, it is notified that Club membership is being commenced.
The categories of Memberships are as follows:
State Membership: All domiciled citizens of Meghalaya State may become members of USC.
Other State Membership: Other State persons may be granted active membership at the sole discretion of the Executive Committee. Such members will be charged a membership fee and allowed use of USC facilities as decided by the Executive Committee from time to time. They shall, however, have no voting.
Defence Service Personnel & Dependents: The Executive Committee may grant membership to Service Officers posted in the State. Such members shall pay an Annual fee at rates fixed by the Executive Committee and will be allowed to use the facilities of USC. They shall, however, have no voting.
Civil Service Personnel & Dependents: The Executive Committee may grant membership to Civil Service Officers. Such members shall pay an Annual fee at rates fixed by the Management Committee and will be allowed to use the facilities of USC. They shall, however, have no voting.
Honorary Membership: The Executive Committee may invite eminent personalities to become honorary members of USC. Such members will not have any voting rights but will be allowed to use facilities of USC. The criteria for being invited to become a honorary member will be laid down by the Executive Committee from time to time. The Chairman shall have the sole authority to extend honorary membership based on recommendations of the Governing Board.
Life Membership: The Life Membership will be given for 10 years upon paying the subscribed Fees, as decided by Management Committee from time to time. Founding Members will be deemed to be Life Members.
Categories of Memberships and subscription fees are as follows:
State Membership - Rs 10,000/- Annually
Other State Membership - Rs 15,000/-Annually or Rs 2000/- pm
Application form attached as Appx is required to be submitted with supporting documents by 10 Jul 2023. The form can be obtained from the USC Office.
All applications will be screened by the Executive Committee.
The Executive Committee reserves the unfettered right to restrict the member of membership, temporarily or cancel their membership without assigning any reason at any point in.
Membership Cards: Each member will be issued a membership card. This card will also act as an entry pass for the USC.
